Extra Night Camp – Summit, Segara Anak Lake & Torean Route

Upon your arrival in Lombok (Mataram, Senggigi, or Bangsal Harbor), our professional team will welcome you and transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel in Senaru Village.

After check-in, you will meet your licensed trekking guide for registration and a detailed briefing covering trekking regulations, safety procedures, and environmentally responsible waste management inside Mount Rinjani National Park.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Sembalun Route to Crater Rim

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel at 06:00 AM, followed by transfer and registration at the Mount Rinjani National Park Office.

The trek begins across scenic open savannahs toward Post 1 (915 m), taking approximately 2 hours. After a short 15-minute break, continue hiking for about 1 hour to Post 2 (1,500 m).

At Post 2, enjoy a longer rest and lunch break while soaking in the mountain views. You may also encounter the rare black monkeys that inhabit this area.

Continue trekking for another hour to Post 3 (1,800 m) for a short rest. From here, the trail climbs steadily through rolling hills toward the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,641 m), a challenging ascent of approximately 3.5 hours.

Arrive at the crater rim around 5:00 PM, just in time to enjoy spectacular sunset views above the clouds, overlooking Segara Anak Lake and the majestic Mount Rinjani. Dinner will be served at the campsite, followed by overnight camping.

Day 2 – Summit Attack & Segara Anak Lake Camp

A light breakfast will be served at 02:00 AM, before starting the summit ascent at 03:00 AM.

The summit climb consists of three stages:

  • Moderate ascent during the first 2 hours

  • Easier section along rocky and gravel trails

  • Steep and demanding final section, requiring strong endurance and determination

Upon reaching the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m), you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Lombok Island, Segara Anak Lake, Sumbawa, Bali, and surrounding islands—an unforgettable sunrise moment.

After sunrise, descend back to the campsite and continue trekking down to Segara Anak Lake. Enjoy lunch by the lakeside and relax in the natural hot springs, allowing your body to recover after the summit climb.

Spend the afternoon exploring the lake area at a relaxed pace. Dinner will be served by the lake, followed by overnight camping beside Segara Anak Lake.

Day 3 – Segara Anak Lake to Propok Valley

Wake up to a peaceful morning by the lake and enjoy breakfast with stunning views.

This extra day allows you to fully experience the beauty of Segara Anak Lake and its hot springs before continuing the journey. After enjoying the lake, trek for approximately 2.5 hours to Propok Valley Camp (1,600 m).

Following the scenic Torean route, you will pass turquoise rivers framed by dramatic green hills—widely regarded as one of the most beautiful sections of Mount Rinjani.

Day 4 – Torean Route Descent

Enjoy breakfast in the tranquil Propok Valley before beginning the final descent to Torean Village, which takes approximately 4–5 hours, depending on your pace.

Along the way, take a rest while admiring the stunning Penimbungan Waterfall, a hidden highlight of the Torean route. Continue gradually to Birisan Nangka (1,101 m) for lunch and rest.

After lunch, continue trekking for approximately 2 hours to Torean Village. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting to transfer you comfortably to your next destination (Mataram, Senggigi, or Bangsal Harbor).
