Rinjani Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights

Summit, Segara Anak Lake & Torean Route (Most Popular Program)

Upon your arrival in Lombok (Lombok International Airport, Mataram, Senggigi, or Bangsal Harbor), our professional team will greet you and transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel in Senaru Village.

After check-in, you will meet your licensed trekking guide for registration and a comprehensive briefing covering trekking regulations, safety procedures, and responsible waste management within Mount Rinjani National Park.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Sembalun Route to Crater Rim

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel at 06:00 AM, then proceed to registration at the Mount Rinjani National Park Office.

The trek begins across beautiful open savannah landscapes toward Post 1 (915 m), taking approximately 2 hours. After a short 15-minute break, continue trekking for about 1 hour to Post 2 (1,500 m).

At Post 2, enjoy a longer rest and lunch break while admiring the mountain scenery. You may also spot the rare black monkeys that inhabit this area.

Continue hiking for another hour to Post 3 (1,800 m) for a short rest. From here, the trail climbs steadily through rolling hills toward the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,641 m), a challenging ascent of approximately 3.5 hours.

Arrive at the crater rim around 5:00 PM, just in time to enjoy breathtaking views above the clouds, overlooking Segara Anak Lake and the majestic Mount Rinjani, especially during sunset. Dinner will be served at the campsite, followed by overnight camping.

Day 2 – Summit Attack, Segara Anak Lake & Hot Springs

A light breakfast will be served at 02:00 AM, before starting the summit ascent at 03:00 AM.

The climb to the summit is divided into three sections:

  • Moderate ascent during the first 2 hours

  • Easier section along rocky and gravel paths

  • Steep and challenging final section, requiring strong endurance and determination

Upon reaching the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m), you will be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Lombok Island, Segara Anak Lake, Sumbawa, Bali, and the surrounding islands—an unforgettable sunrise experience.

After enjoying sunrise at the summit, descend back to the campsite, then continue trekking down to Segara Anak Lake. Enjoy lunch by the lakeside and relax in the natural hot springs, a perfect recovery after the summit climb.

In the afternoon, continue trekking for approximately 2.5 hours to Propok Valley Camp (1,600 m). Along the way, follow the scenic Torean route, passing turquoise rivers surrounded by dramatic green hills—one of the most beautiful sections of Mount Rinjani.

Dinner and overnight camping at Propok Valley.

Day 3 – Torean Route Descent

Wake up to a peaceful morning in Propok Valley and enjoy breakfast surrounded by lush scenery.

After breakfast, begin the descent to Torean Village, which takes approximately 4–5 hours, depending on your pace. Along the way, take a break to admire the stunning Penimbungan Waterfall, one of the hidden gems of the Torean route.

Continue gradually to Birisan Nangka (1,101 m) for lunch and rest. After lunch, proceed for another 2 hours to Torean Village.

Upon arrival, our team will be waiting to transfer you comfortably to your next destination.
