Crater Rim & Rinjani Summit 3,726 m
Upon your arrival in Lombok (Lombok International Airport, Mataram, Senggigi, or Bangsal Harbor), our professional team will welcome you and transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel in Senaru Village.
After check-in, you will meet your licensed trekking guide for registration and a detailed briefing covering trekking regulations, safety procedures, and responsible waste management practices within Mount Rinjani National Park.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel at 06:00 AM, followed by transfer and registration at the Mount Rinjani National Park Office.
The trek begins across open savannah landscapes toward Post 1 (915 m), taking approximately 2 hours. After a short 15-minute break, continue trekking for about 1 hour to Post 2 (1,500 m).
At Post 2, enjoy a longer rest and lunch break while taking in beautiful mountain scenery. With a bit of luck, you may spot the rare black monkeys native to this area.
Continue hiking for another hour to Post 3 (1,800 m) for a short rest. From here, the trail ascends through a series of hills toward the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,641 m), a challenging yet rewarding climb of approximately 3.5 hours.
Arrive at the crater rim around 5:00 PM, just in time to enjoy spectacular views above the clouds, overlooking Segara Anak Lake and the dramatic silhouette of Mount Rinjani at sunset. Dinner will be served at the campsite, followed by overnight camping.
A light breakfast will be served at 02:00 AM before starting the summit ascent at 03:00 AM.
The climb to the summit consists of three sections:
Moderate ascent during the first 2 hours
Easier section along rocky and sandy trails
Steep and challenging final section, requiring strong determination and endurance
Upon reaching the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m), you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Lombok Island, Segara Anak Lake, Sumbawa, Bali, and the surrounding archipelago—an unforgettable sunrise experience.
After enjoying the summit and sunrise, descend back to the campsite for breakfast. Then continue trekking down to Sembalun Village, a journey of approximately 5 hours. Lunch will be served at Post 2 along the way.
Upon arrival in Sembalun Village, our team will transfer you comfortably to your next destination.

10:00 – Trek down to Sembalun Village (lunch at Post 2)
