Senaru Crater Rim Program
Upon your arrival in Lombok (Lombok International Airport, Mataram, Senggigi, or Bangsal Harbor), our professional team will greet you and transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel in Senaru Village, located at the foothills of Mount Rinjani.
After check-in, you will meet your licensed trekking guide for registration and a comprehensive briefing covering trekking procedures, safety guidelines, and eco-friendly waste management practices during the hike in Mount Rinjani National Park.
Breakfast at the hotel starts at 06:30 AM, followed by registration at the Mount Rinjani National Park Office.
The trek begins through lush tropical rainforest toward Post 1 (915 m), approximately 1 hour of hiking. After a short 15-minute break, continue trekking for about 2 hours to Post 2 (1,500 m). Here, you will enjoy a longer rest and lunch, with a rare opportunity to spot the endemic black monkeys.
After lunch, continue hiking for about 2 hours to Post 3 (2,000 m), where the landscape transitions from rainforest to open hills. From here, the trail ascends through rolling hills to reach the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m).
By around 5:00 PM, before sunset, you will arrive at the crater rim campsite. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Gili Islands, Mount Agung in Bali, and the stunning Segara Anak Lake inside the crater.
Dinner will be served at the campsite, followed by overnight camping under the stars.
Wake up early to enjoy breakfast while witnessing a spectacular sunrise over Mount Rinjani. After breakfast, begin the descent back to Senaru Village.
Lunch will be served at Post 2. Upon arrival in Senaru Village, our team will be waiting to transfer you to your next destination.
